The Dooley Blues played Ballydoyle Irish Pub on Saturday, May 21st, 2005. It was their Best Performance Yet! Chris Dooley and the Dooley Blues (As well as Phil Cullen and the Ballydoyle staff!) are so grateful to the overflowing crowd that stayed till the sweet end! This was the Dooley Blues' first Saturday Performance at Ballydoyle and it was so exciting to sell out the restaurant and bar all night long.

The Dooley Blues was fortunate to be graced by the presence of International Celebrity & Beauty Queen Miss Ireland & her friend, Lovely Lana. The Ballydoyle crowd was fortunate to have the Irish Beauty Miss Ireland draw the winners for the Ballydoyle Raffle. Miss Ireland & Lana love the Dooley Blues & could not help themselves from jumping on Stage to Dance with the Band. The Night ended with a "Balls to the Walls" version of John Lee Hooker's famous song "Boom Boom". Not only did Miss Ireland grace the stage once more to Boogie with the Band, but she also got serenaded by Dooley!!! What a Night!!!
A dance floor was opened up in front of the stage and boy, was it utilized! What a great and energized crowd. There were so many beautiful women and happy men there, jumping and dancing and cheering and drinking and laughing in ecstacy. Louisa, Jennifer, Miss Ireland & Lovely Lana came onstage and shaked their assets and entertained the crowd and band. Chris Dooley was fighting back tears of gratitude and profound thanks for such a display of approval and love.

James "Homey" Sims was a guest singer and elevated the energy to even higher, unbelievable levels. Homey is a grandfather to Chris Dooley and is a true Blues legend. His recovery from shoulder surgery is progressing ahead of schedule and soon you will see him behind the drums where he has experienced sitting for over 55 years.

John Sheehy and his Blues crazed, attractive wife, Nancy, along his his much younger and stunningly beautiful sister, Trish, and newly graduated and soon to be Dental student, Joe, were up front and center. They were really enjoying the food and liquid refreshments and were astounded by the Dancing Blues of Chris and the Dooley BLues. John and Nancy commented that Chrissy reminded them of Stevie Ray Vaughn in one song. Franny McGurk and his lovely wife, Wendy, along with their friends Bob (just opened a Chiropractic office in Arlington Heights! more details soon!!) and his delightful spouse attended and traversed between the 'dance floor' and the outdoor garden at Ballydoyle. Francis and Megan (plus Megan's way too young to be a mother!!), newly engaged with a wedding planned for October were sitting next to the stage and Megan would get up and dance with her mom and all the males within 30 yards would come over to applaud! (Mike Dooley, a noted Rock drummer from the 60s, couldn't attend but his gorgeous twin daughters, Megan and Amy and their husbands, Bill and Greg, were causing a frenzy in the audience. The twins have turned down numerous offers to model and become professional actresses so they could pursue their careers as primary school teachers at an inner-city school. They are finalists in the Doublemint Twin competition and may consider taking a leave of absence if the offer is as astronomical as their agents are hearing from the Wrigley company. They will always be our heroes!

We want to again thank our fans for making Saturday an unforgettable evening, one the Dooley Blues will cherish forever!!!
